Right. This one’s for the big surprise.
You know the moment. Everyone’s gathered round, cameras ready. You cut into the cake… and then you see it. Pink or blue. And everyone cheers. That’s what this cake is for. But here’s the twist – it’s a two‑side reveal. One side of the cake is pink inside, the other side is blue. So when you cut it, everyone sees both colours at once. It’s like the cake is saying “it’s a… wait, both?” No – you decide which side is the real one. Or you can have a hidden message on top.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make a gender reveal cake where we don’t know which colour is inside? We want to find out together.”
I said yeah, course. I made a cake with half pink sponge, half blue sponge, covered it in white buttercream so you couldn’t see anything, and put a question mark on top. When they cut it, they saw both colours – and then they revealed the actual gender on a little flag inside. Everyone cried. That’s a win.
So here it is: Two Side Gender Reveal Cake – available at our Bromley bakery.
It’s a round cake, about 7 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. Perfect for a gender reveal party, baby shower, or any celebration where you want to share the surprise in a unique way.
What’s in it?
Sponge – half pink vanilla or strawberry, half blue vanilla or blueberry. The colours are subtle – not neon. Just soft pink and soft blue.
Frosting – white buttercream on the outside. Smooth, clean, no hints.
The reveal – when you cut the cake, you see both colours. You can announce which one is the actual gender (e.g., “the pink side is for real”) or I can hide a little edible message inside like “It’s a Girl” or “It’s a Boy” printed on rice paper.
The details – you can have a question mark on top, or little pink and blue sprinkles, or a “Boy or Girl?” message.
It’s a fun, interactive cake that gets everyone talking. And it tastes great – because even if the surprise isn’t what you expected, cake is always good.

Can I get different flavours for each side?
Yes! Pink side can be strawberry or vanilla. Blue side can be blueberry or vanilla with blue colour. Or both vanilla – just coloured.
Can I hide a message inside instead of colours?
Course. I can put an edible printed message like “It’s a Girl” or “It’s a Boy” inside the cake (between layers). You cut, you see the message. Very dramatic.
Can I add a name or date?
Yeah. “Baby Smith”, “July 2025” – I’ll pipe it on the side.
How much notice?
Few days if you can. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.

One thing to mention…
The colours are made with food gel – no weird taste. The pink and blue are soft, not bright. If you want bright neon, just ask. Also the cake is covered in white buttercream, so the surprise is hidden until you cut.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.
