Right. Let's talk about getting cake to you.
Bit less exciting than eating it I know. But important. You want to know when it's coming, how much it costs, all that boring but necessary stuff.
Here's how it works.
Do we deliver?
Yeah. Round Bromley and nearby areas.
I'm only one person with one little car so I can't go miles and miles. But if you're local I'll get it to you.
Where do we deliver?
Mainly:
Bromley town centre
Shortlands
Bickley
Downham way
Sundridge Park
Plaistow area
Beckenham (some parts)
If you're not sure just pop your postcode in at checkout or message me. I'll tell you straight if I can do it or not. No point saying yes if it's too far. Cake might not survive the journey anyway.
How much does delivery cost?
Depends how far really.
Bromley town centre and close bits: £2.50
Shortlands, Bickley, nearby: £3.50
Bit further out: £5
If you're ordering a big wedding cake or something fancy we might need to sort something different. Extra careful driving. Maybe a specific time. Message me and we'll figure it out.
When do you deliver?
Usually between 10am and 4pm. Depends on the day and how busy I am.
If you need it at a specific time just say. I'll do my best. Might not be able to promise exact exact but I'll try and get close.
Weddings and events I can do earlier. Just ask.
Can I choose a delivery day?
Yeah course. That's the whole point. Tell me when you need it and I'll get it there.
Just make sure you order with enough notice. Week ahead is safe. Two weeks for big complicated stuff.
What about the day itself?
I'll message you when I'm on my way. Roughly half hour before so you know to be ready.
If you're not going to be in let me know. Leave it with a neighbour. Tell me a safe spot to leave it. Whatever works.
Do you do tracked delivery or anything?
Nah. It's just me in my car. No fancy systems. But I'll message you. That's tracking enough really.
What if I'm not home?
Tell me before and we'll sort something. Neighbour. Safe place. Cool spot if it's hot. I'll take a photo of where I left it so you know it's there.
If you forget to tell me and no one's in I'll try and call. If I can't get hold of you I might have to take it back. Bit annoying for everyone. So best to let me know.
Do you deliver outside Bromley?
Sometimes. If it's not too far. Message me and ask. Worst I can say is no.
If it's miles away might need to charge a bit more for petrol. Fair enough I reckon.
What about hot weather?
Good question. Cake and heat aren't best mates.
If it's a hot day I'll do my best to keep things cool. Pack cool bags. Ice packs if needed. Drive with the AC on. All that.
If you're ordering something with cream or fresh fruit maybe think about collecting instead. Or make sure someone's home so it's not sitting on a doorstep in the sun.
Do you do free delivery?
Not usually. Petrol costs money. Time costs money. The small charge just covers that.

Can I collect instead?
Course. Probably easier for both of us if you're local.
Order online, select collection, and come grab it from the shop when it's ready. I'll have it behind the counter with your name on it.
What if something's wrong with delivery?
Not happened yet touch wood. But if your cake turns up damaged or melted or something just message me straight away. Send photos. I'll sort it.
