The Union Jack Tower Cake – for the royalists, the patriots, and anyone who loves a bit of red, white, and blue
Right. This one’s a showstopper. Two or three tiers of cake, decorated like the British flag. The Union Jack. Red, white, and blue. It’s for the King’s birthday, the Coronation, the Euros, or just because you love this country (and cake).
I make the sponge inside vanilla or lemon – nothing too heavy. Then I cover each tier in white buttercream. Then I pipe or paint the red and blue bits – the crosses, the diagonals – using coloured buttercream or edible paint. It takes a steady hand. But when it’s done? It looks like something from a royal garden party.
Where you can find it
I bake these in Bromley. People from Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford and Bellingham order them for royal celebrations, the Queen’s (now King’s) official birthday, or just for a summer barbecue with a theme. I deliver local, or you can collect from the shop.
Who’s buying this?
Royalists. Expats who miss home. People hosting a street party. Schools doing a history day. And honestly? Anyone who wants a cake that says “God Save the King” without having to sing it.
One thing to know
The flag design is hand‑piped – it won’t be perfect like a sticker. That’s the charm. The red and blue colours are food‑safe – no weird taste. If you want a specific message like “King Charles III” or “Jubilee”, I can add it.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.
