Rainbow Relish Cake – colour you can really get excited about
Right. The word “relish” usually means to enjoy something a lot. And that’s exactly what this cake is for – enjoying. Every bite. Every colour. Every sprinkle. It’s not a shy cake. It’s loud, proud, and packed with rainbow layers, rainbow buttercream, and a whole lot of happy.
I came up with this for a customer in Grove Park who wanted a cake that “just screams joy”. No specific theme – just joy. So I made a six‑layer rainbow vanilla sponge, filled it with a light vanilla cream, then covered the whole thing in a swirl of pastel buttercream and a cascade of rainbow sprinkles. No hidden surprises – the rainbow is right there on the outside too.
What’s in it?
Vanilla sponge, split into red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. Stacked with a thin layer of vanilla buttercream. On the outside, a swirled pastel buttercream – pink, blue, yellow, all blended together. Then a generous coat of rainbow sprinkles and a few edible stars. It’s like a party on a plate.

I bake these in Bromley. People from Downham, Sydenham, Catford and Bellingham order them for birthdays, Pride, or just because they need a pick‑me‑up. I deliver local, or you can collect from the shop.
Who’s buying this?
Anyone who thinks beige cake is boring. Kids who want a cake that looks like their dreams. Adults who want to feel like a kid again. Pride parties. Summer barbecues. And honestly? Anyone who’s ever said “I need some colour in my life”.
One thing to know
The sprinkles might fall off a bit in transport – I’ll give you extra in a little bag. The pastel buttercream is made with gel colour – no weird taste. And the cake is best eaten within two days – the colours stay bright, but the sponge stays soft.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

Chocolate Truffle:

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.
