Right. This one’s for the butterfly lovers.
You know that feeling when you see a butterfly flutter past? It’s like a little bit of magic. That’s this cake. Pink, pretty, and covered in butterflies – some piped, some made of fondant, resting on the buttercream like they’ve just landed.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make a cake for my daughter’s 6th birthday? She loves butterflies and pink. Not too fancy – just cute and colourful.”
I said yeah, course. I made a soft vanilla cake, covered it in pale pink buttercream, and added a flurry of little butterflies in different shades of pink and purple. She gasped and said “they’re going to fly away!” That’s a win.
So here it is: Pink Butterfly Cake – available at our Bromley bakery.
It’s a round cake, about 7 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. Perfect for a girly birthday, spring celebration, baby shower, first birthday, or any time you want a cake that’s as light and pretty as a butterfly.
What’s in it?
Sponge – vanilla, strawberry, or lemon. Your choice. Strawberry is extra pink and lovely inside.
Frosting – pale pink buttercream. Smooth, soft, not too sweet.
The butterflies – a mix of piped buttercream butterflies (in pink, purple, and white) and little fondant butterflies resting on top. Some have a dusting of edible glitter for shimmer.
The details – a few tiny flowers, a sprinkle of pink and purple sugar pearls, and maybe a “flutter” of silver stars.
The look – whimsical, dreamy, and very, very pink.
It’s the cake that makes everyone smile. Kids want to pick off the butterflies first. Adults want a photo before it’s cut.
Who buys this?
Girly birthday cake – for 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th birthdays.
Spring birthday cake – March, April, May – when butterflies appear.
Baby shower cake – soft pinks and butterflies are perfect.
First birthday – can do a smaller smash cake with a butterfly topper.
Just because – you want to feel like you’re in a fairy tale.
Honestly? Anyone who believes that butterflies bring good luck.
Can I get a different colour butterfly?
Yes. Purple, blue, yellow, or rainbow – just tell me. The cake can be pale pink, white, or even a soft lavender base.
Can I add a name or message?
Course. “Happy Birthday”, “Flutter”, “Love” – I’ll pipe it in pink or white on the side.
How much notice?
Few days if you can. The butterflies take a bit of time to shape. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.

Collect from our Bromley shop or local delivery if you're nearby.
One thing to mention…
The fondant butterflies are edible but a bit hard – kids might want to keep them as little keepsakes. That’s fine. The piped buttercream butterflies are softer – eat those. Also the glitter is edible – safe for cake.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.
