Right. This one’s for the people who love tropical flavours – but don’t need a huge cake.
Sometimes you just want a small cake. A mini cake. Perfect for two people, or for a little treat after dinner, or for a birthday where there’s only a few of you. This one is coconut and pineapple – a match made in tropical heaven. A soft, moist coconut sponge (made with coconut milk and shredded coconut), layered with a sweet and tangy pineapple curd or compote, then covered in a light coconut buttercream. On top, a few chunks of caramelised pineapple and a sprinkle of toasted coconut. It’s like a pina colada in cake form – but without the hangover.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make a mini coconut pineapple cake for me and my partner? We love tropical flavours but don’t want leftovers. We’re in Downham.”
I said yeah, course. I made a little coconut sponge, filled it with pineapple curd, and topped it with toasted coconut. They ate the whole thing in one evening. That’s a win.
So here it is: Mini Coconut Pineapple Cake – available for delivery and collection across Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford & Bellingham.
It’s a mini round cake, about 4 inches. Feeds 2–4 people. Perfect for a small birthday, anniversary, date night dessert, afternoon tea, or just because you want a little taste of the tropics.
What’s in it?
Sponge – light coconut. Made with coconut milk and shredded coconut. Moist, soft, and naturally dairy‑friendly (or dairy‑free if you ask).
Filling – a layer of homemade pineapple curd (tangy, sweet, and silky) or a pineapple compote – you choose. I use fresh pineapple when it’s in season.
Frosting – coconut buttercream or a simple whipped cream – you decide. Coconut buttercream is richer; whipped cream is lighter.
The topping – a few caramelised pineapple chunks (or fresh pineapple slices), a sprinkle of toasted coconut flakes, and a dusting of icing sugar.
The look – a tiny, adorable cake that’s pale gold and white, with golden pineapple and coconut on top. It’s like a mini tropical getaway.
It’s the perfect size for two people who want to feel like they’re on holiday, without a fridge full of leftovers.
Who buys this?
Small birthday cake – for a quiet celebration.
Anniversary cake – for a couple who loves tropical flavours.
Date night dessert – impress your person with a mini cake.
Afternoon tea – a lovely addition to a tea spread.
Just because – you want a treat, but not a whole big cake.
Honestly? Anyone who’s ever thought “I want cake, but I don’t want a week of leftovers.”
Can I get a different fruit?
Yes. Mango, passionfruit, or even a mix – just tell me.
Can I add a message or name?
I can attach a little tag – “Happy Birthday”, “Love”, “Enjoy” – just tell me.
How much notice?
A day or two is fine. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.
Collection or delivery?
Collect from our Bromley shop or get local delivery to Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford, Bellingham – all within easy reach.
One thing to mention…
The mini cake is small – perfect for two people, or for one person with no self‑control (no judgement). The pineapple curd is made with real fruit, so it’s a little looser than jam – that’s the good stuff. Best eaten within 2‑3 days.
Right. That’s the Mini Coconut Pineapple Cake done.
For the people who believe that good things come in small packages. And that coconut and pineapple are a tropical dream – delivered right to your door in Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford, or Bellingham.
