Right. This one’s for the Maltesers fans.
You know those little honeycomb malt balls covered in chocolate? The ones you can’t stop eating once you open the bag? Yeah. Now imagine a whole tower of cake covered in them. That’s this cake. A rich chocolate sponge, a light malt buttercream, and a cascade of Maltesers all over the top and down the sides. It’s crunchy, it’s malty, it’s chocolatey, and it’s very, very moreish.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make a Maltesers cake for my son’s 13th birthday? He loves the malt flavour. And can you deliver it to Downham?”
I said yeah, course. I made a two‑tier chocolate cake, filled it with malt buttercream, and covered it in a generous pile of Maltesers and a chocolate drip. He didn’t want to share. That’s a win.
So here it is: Maltesers Tower Cake – available for delivery and collection across Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford & Bellingham.
It’s a two‑tier tower cake (or three – just ask). Feeds 10–20 people depending on size. Perfect for a chocolate lover’s birthday, teen party, movie night celebration, or any time you want that malty, crunchy, chocolatey goodness in cake form.
What’s in it?
Sponge – rich chocolate or malted chocolate. I can add a spoonful of malt powder to the sponge for that extra malty kick.
Filling – malt buttercream (buttercream with malt powder and a little chocolate). Smooth, creamy, and tastes like the inside of a Malteser.
Frosting – chocolate buttercream on the outside, then a glossy chocolate drip round the top edge.
The Maltesers – a generous pile of crushed and whole Maltesers on top, and more pressed into the sides. I also sprinkle crushed Maltesers between the tiers.
The look – dark chocolate, light malt, and those iconic red and gold Maltesers popping out everywhere. It’s a showstopper.
It’s the cake that makes people pick off the Maltesers first. No judgement – I do the same.

Can I get a different type of Maltesers?
Yes. You can have Maltesers Teasers (the chocolate bar), Maltesers Buttons, or even the white chocolate version. Just tell me – they might cost a bit more.
Can I add a message or name?
Course. “Happy 13th”, “Malty Goodness”, “Leo” – I’ll pipe it in white or gold.
Can I get it without the chocolate drip?
Yes. I can do just malt buttercream with Maltesers pressed in. Or a smooth chocolate frosting. Your call.
How much notice?

One thing to mention…
Maltesers can go a little soft after a day – they absorb moisture from the buttercream. Best eaten within 24 hours for maximum crunch. The cake itself will keep, but the Maltesers will lose their snap. Also, this cake contains malt (gluten) – not suitable for coeliacs.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.
