Right. This one’s for the football fans who live for that last‑minute winner.
You know the feeling. 89th minute. Your team’s down by one. Then – BANG – someone smashes it in from nowhere. The crowd goes mental. You go mental. The dog hides under the sofa.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you do a cake that looks like a golden goal? Like the ball hitting the net, but fancy.”
I thought about it. Messed about with some gold icing. Made a round cake, green pitch on top, a gold ball flying into a net. He loved it. Then his mate ordered one for the Champions League final.
So here it is: Golden Goal Football Cake – available at our Bromley bakery.
It’s a round cake, about 7 or 8 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. Perfect for a match day watch party, end of season celebration, or any football fan’s birthday.
What’s in it?
Sponge – vanilla or chocolate. Your choice. Our proper ones.
Buttercream – smooth, not too sweet.
The pitch – green buttercream on top, smoothed out like grass.
The goal – two white icing posts and a net (piped or sugar mesh).
The golden goal – a bright gold ball made of coloured white chocolate or icing. Flying into the net.
Extra – sometimes a little scoreboard with your team’s name and “1‑0”.
It’s dramatic. It’s shiny. It’s for the fan who lives for those moments.
Who buys this?
Football fan birthday cake – any age. Kids, teens, dads, grandads.
Match day watch party – you invite mates over to watch the game, surprise them with this at half‑time.
End of season party – we won the league? Golden goal. We survived relegation? Also golden goal.
Champions League final – big one.
Honestly? Dads. They love this. They pretend it’s for the kids but they want the first slice.
Can I get a different team’s colours?
Yeah. You want red and white for Arsenal? Blue for Chelsea? Just tell me. I’ll do the scoreboard and maybe little accents.
Can I add a name or number?
Course. Tell me the player’s name and shirt number. I’ll pipe it on the side or on a little flag.
Different flavour?
Yeah. Red velvet, lemon, strawberry – whatever. Just ask.
How much notice?
Few days if you want simple. Week if you want the net and gold ball looking proper. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.

Collect from our Bromley shop or local delivery if you're nearby.
One thing to mention…
The gold ball is edible but a bit hard – it’s made of coloured white chocolate. Don’t let kids bite into it straight away. Also the net is sugar – it’s fragile. Might arrive with a tiny break but still looks fine.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.

Delivery is available within 2 hours of placing your order. Please select a delivery slot at checkout and ensure you provide the correct contact number for our driver.
