Right. This one’s for the big moment.
You know the one – everyone’s gathered round, cameras ready, and you cut into the cake. Then you see it. Pink or blue. And everyone cheers. That’s a gender reveal. And it’s usually a round cake because round is classic, easy to cut, and looks great in photos. The outside is a mystery – white or neutral – and the inside tells the story.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make a gender reveal cake for our party? We want a white cake on the outside, and pink or blue inside. But don’t tell us which – we want to find out with everyone else. We’re in Grove Park.”
I said yeah, course. I made a round vanilla cake, covered it in white buttercream, and hid pink sponge inside. When they cut it, they screamed. That’s a win.
So here it is: Gender Reveal Cake – available for delivery and collection across Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford & Bellingham.
It’s a round cake, about 7 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. Perfect for a gender reveal party, baby shower, or any celebration where you want to share the surprise.
What’s in it?
Sponge – vanilla or white chocolate (so the colour shows clearly). I add pink or blue gel colour to the batter – soft pastel, not neon. The outside is completely neutral.
Frosting – white buttercream on the outside. Smooth, clean, no hints. I can also add a question mark, “Boy or Girl?”, or little pink and blue sprinkles on top – but the inside colour stays secret.
The reveal – when you cut the cake, the inside colour tells you everything. Pink for girl, blue for boy. Or you can ask for a different colour – green for “surprise”, purple for twins, etc.
The look – elegant and mysterious. White on the outside, a burst of colour inside.
It’s the cake that’s as much about the moment as the taste. And it tastes great – because even if the result isn’t what you expected, cake is always good.

Can I get a different inside colour?
Yes. Green for “surprise”, purple for twins, or even a mix of pink and blue for both. Just tell me.
Can I add a message or name on top?
Course. “Boy or Girl?”, “Oh Baby!”, the family name – I’ll pipe it in white or a neutral colour.
Can I get a different flavour sponge?
Vanilla is the classic – it shows the colour best. But I can do strawberry (pink inside already) or lemon. Just ask.
How much notice?
Few days if you can. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.

One thing to mention…
The inside colour is a secret – even I don’t know if you don’t tell me. I just add the colour you ask for. Also, the colour is made with food gel – no weird taste. And the cake is white on the outside, so the surprise is total.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.
