You know who you are. You pick strawberries first at the pick‑your‑own farm. You’ve definitely eaten a whole punnet in one sitting. You think strawberry is better than chocolate sometimes. No judgement – I agree.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you do a strawberry cake for my partner’s birthday? She loves fresh strawberries. Not jam – real ones. And make it a heart shape because it’s romantic.”
I said yeah, course. Made a heart‑shaped cake, light vanilla sponge, fresh strawberry chunks inside, and a cream cheese frosting. She nearly cried. He looked smug. That’s a win.
So here it is: Fresh Strawberry Delight Cake (Heart Cake) – available at our Bromley bakery.
It’s a heart‑shaped cake, about 7 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, birthdays, or just because you want to say “I love you” with something sweet and fruity.
What’s in it?
Sponge – light vanilla. Not too heavy. Lets the strawberry shine.
Fresh strawberries – chopped up and folded into the batter and between the layers. Real ones. Not jam, not flavouring. Proper fruit.
Frosting – cream cheese buttercream. Tangy, smooth, not too sweet. Goes perfectly with strawberry.
The heart shape – cut by hand, not a tin. So it’s a proper heart, not a perfect factory shape.
On top – fresh strawberry slices arranged in a fan or spiral. Maybe a little drizzle of strawberry puree. And a dusting of icing sugar.
It’s fruity. It’s romantic. It’s the kind of cake that tastes like summer even in winter.
Who buys this?
Valentine’s Day cake – very popular around February.

Can I get a different berry?
Maybe. Raspberry works. Blueberry too. But strawberry is the classic. Message me if you want something else.

Course. “I Love You”, “Happy Anniversary”, their name – whatever. I’ll pipe it on the side.
How much notice?
Few days if you can. The fresh strawberries mean I need to get good ones – not the hard pale ones. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.

One thing to mention…
Fresh strawberries on top won’t last forever – best eaten same day or the day after. The cake itself keeps fine, but the fruit goes soft. Also the heart shape is hand‑cut – it won’t be perfectly symmetrical. That’s the charm.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.
