Well, not me. You. Or whoever the cake is for. Because the best gift sometimes is just seeing your own face on a cake. Sounds silly, but trust me – people love it. Kids especially. Grown‑ups too. There’s something about a personalised photo cake that just hits different.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you put my husband’s face on a cake for his 40th? He never smiles in photos but I have one good one.”
I said yeah, course. Made a vanilla cake, buttercream, and printed his face on edible rice paper. She sent me a video of him laughing when he saw it. That’s the good stuff.
So here it is: Custom Photo Birthday Celebration Cake – available at our Bromley bakery.
It’s a round cake, about 7 or 8 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. Perfect for any birthday, anniversary, retirement, or just because. You give me the photo, I put it on the cake.
What’s in it?
Sponge – vanilla, chocolate, red velvet, or lemon. Your choice. Our proper ones.
Frosting – smooth buttercream or cream cheese. Usually white or pale colours – lets the photo stand out.
The photo – an edible photo printed on rice paper with food colouring. Safe to eat. Looks like a sticker but it melts in your mouth.
The rest – a simple piped border round the edge, maybe some sprinkles or edible pearls if you want. Nothing that distracts from the photo.
You can use a photo of the birthday person, a family photo, a pet, a favourite character – anything. As long as it’s clear and not blurry.
Who buys this?
Milestone birthday cake – 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th. Make it memorable.
Surprise cake – they have no idea their face is on the cake. Best reaction.
Anniversary cake – put your wedding photo on it.
Retirement cake – their work photo or a funny picture.
Kids birthday cake – their face next to a cartoon or just their big smile.
Honestly? Anyone who wants a cake that’s 100% unique.
What kind of photo works best?
Clear, well‑lit, not too dark. Selfies are fine. Professional photos are great. If you want a funny face or a silly expression, even better. No blurry photos – they come out blurry on the cake.
Can I add a message?
Course. “Happy Birthday Mum”, “You’re 50!”, “Well done” – I’ll pipe it under the photo or round the edge.
How much notice?
Week if you can. The edible photo needs printing and posting to me. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.
Collection or delivery?
Collect from our Bromley shop or local delivery if you're nearby.
One thing to mention…
The edible photo is safe to eat, but don’t leave it in a hot car – the colours can run. Also the rice paper is a bit fragile – it might have tiny cracks if it bends, but still looks fine.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.

Delivery is available within 2 hours of placing your order. Please select a delivery slot at checkout and ensure you provide the correct contact number for our driver.
