You know how sometimes you don’t need fancy flavours or crazy decorations? Sometimes you just want a really good vanilla cake. Soft, fluffy, tastes like birthday. And if you put it in a heart shape? Even better.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you just do a simple vanilla cake but heart shaped? For my girlfriend. She doesn’t like chocolate or anything weird. Just vanilla.”
I said yeah, course. Made a heart cake, vanilla sponge, vanilla buttercream, a few sprinkles. She smiled. He looked relieved. That’s the beauty of simple.
So here it is: Classic Heart Vanilla Cake – available at our Bromley bakery.
It’s a heart‑shaped cake, about 7 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. Perfect for Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, birthdays, or just because you want to show someone you care.
What’s in it?
Sponge – our proper vanilla. Light, fluffy, real vanilla. None of that artificial rubbish.
Frosting – vanilla buttercream. Smooth, creamy, not too sweet.
The heart shape – cut by hand, not a tin. So it’s a proper heart, not a perfect factory shape.
On top – simple. Maybe a few rainbow sprinkles, or a dusting of icing sugar, or a little piped message. You choose.
Around the sides – smooth buttercream. No fuss. Just classic.
It’s the kind of cake that doesn’t try too hard. It just tastes good. And it’s shaped like love.
Who buys this?
Valentine’s Day cake – simple but romantic.
Anniversary cake – 1st, 5th, 10th – any year you want to celebrate.
Birthday cake for someone who loves vanilla (and who doesn’t?).
Romantic surprise – just because. No reason needed.
Proposal cake – you’re going to ask? This is sweet and understated.
Honestly? Anyone who’s tired of over‑the‑top cakes. This one’s honest.
Can I add a message?
Course. “I Love You”, “Happy Anniversary”, their name – whatever. I’ll pipe it on the side.
Can I add fresh fruit or jam?
Yeah. You want strawberry jam between the layers? Fresh raspberries on top? Just ask. Extra cost but worth it.
Different flavour?
This one’s vanilla – that’s the whole point. But if you really want chocolate or red velvet, message me.
How much notice?
Few days if you can. The heart shape takes a bit of careful cutting. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.
Collection or delivery?
Collect from our Bromley shop or local delivery if you're nearby.
One thing to mention…
The heart shape is hand‑cut – it won’t be perfectly symmetrical. That’s the charm. Also if you add fresh fruit on top, eat it same day – fruit goes soft.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.

Delivery is available within 2 hours of placing your order. Please select a delivery slot at checkout and ensure you provide the correct contact number for our driver.
