You know the feeling. You see a butterfly and you just smile. They’re delicate, colourful, and they remind you that change is beautiful. Now imagine that on a heart‑shaped cake. It’s like love taking flight.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make a cake for my daughter’s 7th birthday? She loves butterflies and hearts. Something magical but not too princessy.”
I said yeah, course. Made a heart‑shaped cake, pale pink buttercream, and decorated it with little fondant butterflies in all colours. She gasped and said “they look like they could fly away.” That’s a win.
So here it is: Butterfly Heart Cake – available at our Bromley bakery.
It’s a heart‑shaped cake, about 7 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. Perfect for a birthday, spring celebration, baby shower, gender reveal, or any time you want something light, airy, and a little bit magical.
What’s in it?
Sponge – vanilla, lemon, or strawberry. Your choice. Light flavours work best with the delicate theme.
Frosting – pale pink, lavender, or white buttercream. Smooth and soft, like a spring sky.
The butterflies – little fondant butterflies in pastel colours (pink, purple, yellow, blue) resting on top and around the sides. Each one hand‑shaped – not perfect, but full of charm.
The heart shape – hand‑cut. So it’s a proper heart, not a factory perfect one.
The details – a few edible pearls or tiny flowers to make it feel like a garden.
It’s a cake that makes you feel like you’re in a meadow on a sunny day.
Who buys this?
Spring birthday cake – March, April, May. Feels like new beginnings.
Baby shower cake – butterflies symbolise new life.
Gender reveal – pastel colours work for any gender.
Anniversary cake – for a couple who’ve been through change and come out stronger.
Just because – for someone who needs a little beauty in their day.

Can I get a specific colour butterfly?
Yeah. You want all pink? Purple and blue? Rainbow? Just tell me.
Can I add a name or message?
Course. “Happy Birthday”, “Spread Your Wings”, their name – I’ll pipe it on the side.
Different flavour?
Lemon is lovely with butterflies – zesty and fresh. But vanilla, strawberry, or chocolate work too.
How much notice?
Few days if you want simple butterflies. Week if you want lots of them looking proper. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.

Collect from our Bromley shop or local delivery if you're nearby.
One thing to mention…
The fondant butterflies are edible but a bit fragile – some wings might chip in transport. I’ll pack them carefully. Also the pastel colours are made with food colouring – no weird taste.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.

Delivery is available within 2 hours of placing your order. Please select a delivery slot at checkout and ensure you provide the correct contact number for our driver.
