The Rainbow Fantasy Cake – colour inside, clouds outside
Right. Some cakes hide their magic. This one doesn’t. From the outside, it’s a fluffy white cloud – whipped buttercream or cream cheese frosting, soft and pillowy. But then you cut into it. And there it is. Rainbow. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple – all stacked up in perfect layers. It’s like a surprise party inside a cake.
I first made this for a kid in Downham who said she wanted “a cake that looks normal but then BAM – rainbow”. So I figured out how to keep the layers even, the colours bright, and the outside a secret. Now it’s one of my most requested.
What’s in it?
Vanilla sponge – the same batter, just split into six bowls and coloured with gel (no weird taste). Each layer baked separately, then stacked with a thin layer of vanilla buttercream between. On the outside, a cloud of whipped white chocolate ganache or cream cheese frosting – your choice. Then rainbow sprinkles and a few edible stars on top.
Where to get it
I bake these in Bromley. People from Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford and Bellingham keep ordering them for birthdays, Pride parties, or just because they need colour in their life. I deliver local, or you can collect from the shop.

Kids who love surprises. Adults who miss being kids. Pride celebrations. Summer birthdays. And honestly? Anyone who’s tired of beige food.
One thing to know
The colours are soft – not neon. I don’t like the bright stuff. The outside frosting is fluffy, so it might settle a bit in the fridge. Let it sit out for ten minutes before serving.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

Chocolate Truffle:
Water, fully and partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (palm kernel), dextrose, sugar, milk proteins, emulsifiers (polysorbate 60, mono – and diglycerides of fatty acids, soya lecithin), acidity regulators (trisodium citrate, disodium phosphate), stabilisers (calcium chloride, methyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose), gelling agent (sodium alginate), flavouring, colour (beta-carotene). The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.
