Product Description

Right so you remember the full mango cake? The exotic one? The one that came about because someone's mum was absolutely obsessed with mangoes and I had to figure out how to make it work without going soggy?

Yeah. We put all that in a cupcake.

Someone ordered the big cake for a party once.

Loved it. But said it was a bit much for people who just wanted a quick treat. Asked if I could do something smaller. Something people could just grab and eat without committing to a whole slice.

So I did. And honestly? Cupcakes might be the perfect format for this one. Every person gets their own little tropical moment.

Here's what you're getting.

Light vanilla sponge first. Same as the big cake. Nice and simple. Lets the mango do the talking. Baked in a nice tall case so there's plenty of room for toppings.

Then we soak it. Just a tiny bit. With mango puree. Keeps it moist and adds that little extra hit of flavour.

Then the buttercream. This bit's the star.

Mango buttercream. Real mango puree mixed through. Not flavouring. Not essence. Actual mango. So it's fruity and sweet but not too sweet. Slightly tropical. That peachy orangey colour comes from the mango itself. No artificial stuff.

Then we pipe it on. Big swirl. Nice and tall. Looks proper bakery style.

On top? More mango.

Sometimes fresh mango pieces if they're in season and good. Sometimes a little dried mango curl for texture. Depends what I've got and what's looking nice. Then maybe a sprinkle of something gold if I'm feeling fancy.

Who's buying these?

  • People who want something lighter than chocolate.

  • Summer parties. Barbecues. Garden things.

  • Honestly? Desi customers love this one. Mango is such a big thing in South Asian culture. Makes sense.

  • Anyone who's had the full cake before and now they're hooked.

  • Me. When I want something that feels a bit tropical but don't want a whole slice.

If you're in Bromley you can order them online and come collect. But mango's a seasonal thing really. When they're good they're amazing. When they're not? I might not have them. If you're making a special trip maybe message ahead and check.

Or order online for collection or local delivery. Whatever works.

One thing I should mention. The mango flavour is proper. It's not like those synthetic mango sweets that taste sort of like mango but also sort of like perfume. This is real. So if you're expecting that really intense artificial hit it might be more subtle. But if you want actual mango taste? Yeah. This is it.

Also fresh mango on top won't last forever.

Best eaten same day if it's got fresh pieces. The cupcake itself keeps fine but the fruit goes soft. Still tastes okay just not as pretty.

Right. That's the mango cupcake done.

Tropical little number. Perfect for summer or just pretending it's summer.
