Right. These are for the people who love Halloween but think orange and black are a bit overdone.
Purple is the colour of mystery, magic, and spooky surprises. So for Halloween, I’ve turned my vanilla cupcakes into little purple ghosts. A soft, fluffy vanilla sponge (no weird flavours – just good vanilla), topped with a swirl of vibrant purple buttercream, then decorated with two little white chocolate eyes and a tiny fondant ghost peeking out. They’re cute, they’re spooky, and they’re perfect for a Halloween party – no fake blood required.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make Halloween cupcakes that aren’t scary? My kids love ghosts but hate anything too gory. We’re in Catford.”
I said yeah, course. I made vanilla cupcakes, coloured the buttercream a deep purple, added white chocolate eyes, and stuck a little ghost on top. They said “boo!” and ate three each. That’s a win.
So here it is: Halloween Purple Ghost Cupcakes – available for delivery and collection across Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford & Bellingham.
They come in boxes of 6 or 12. Perfect for a Halloween party, trick‑or‑treat gathering, school celebration, office spooky treat, or any time you want a little bit of magic with your cake.
What’s in them?
The sponge – our classic vanilla. Light, fluffy, real vanilla. I can also do chocolate if you prefer – just ask.
The frosting – purple vanilla buttercream. I use a deep, vibrant purple – like a twilight sky. Smooth and swirled.
The ghost details – two white chocolate button eyes (or candy eyes) and a tiny fondant ghost sitting on top of the frosting. The ghost has little black eyes and a cute expression – not scary at all.
The look – a purple swirl with a little white ghost peeking out. You can also add a sprinkle of edible silver stars or a dusting of black sugar for extra spookiness.
They’re more “friendly ghost” than “haunted mansion”. Perfect for little ones who love Halloween but don’t want nightmares.
Who buys these?
Halloween party cupcakes – for kids and adults who love the fun side of Halloween.
Trick‑or‑treat gathering – a sweet alternative to sweets.
School Halloween celebration – nut‑free option available.
Office spooky treat – bring a box to work on October 31st.
Just because – you want to celebrate Halloween with cake, not just candy.
Honestly? Anyone who’s ever watched Casper and thought “ghosts are cute.”
Can I get a different colour frosting?
Yes. You can have purple, orange, black, or even a swirl of purple and orange. Just tell me.
Can I add a message on the box?
I can attach a little tag – “Boo!”, “Happy Halloween”, “Trick or Treat” – just tell me.
Can I get gluten‑free or vegan?
Yes, but let me know in advance – I need a few days.
How much notice?
A few days is fine. Halloween week is busy – order early. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.
Collection or delivery?
Collect from our Bromley shop or get local delivery to Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford, Bellingham – all within easy reach.
One thing to mention…
The fondant ghosts are edible but a bit hard – kids might want to keep them as little souvenirs. The white chocolate eyes are soft and melt in your mouth. Best eaten within 2‑3 days.
Right. That’s the Halloween Purple Ghost Cupcakes done.
For the people who believe that Halloween should be fun, not frightening. And that a purple ghost cupcake is the best kind of spooky – delivered right to your door in Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford, or Bellingham.
