Right. This one’s for the chocolate lovers who also love city skylines.
You know the vibe – a dark, glossy chocolate cake shaped like a city skyline, or decorated with chocolate skyscrapers, or just covered in Hershey's chocolate bars arranged like buildings. It’s a cake for the person who dreams of big cities, or who lives in one, or who just thinks chocolate and architecture belong together. And of course, it’s made with Hershey's – that classic American chocolate taste that’s smooth, milky, and unmistakable.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make a cake for my husband’s 30th? He loves Hershey's and he’s obsessed with New York. Can you do a skyline with Hershey's bars as buildings? We’re in Bellingham.”
I said yeah, course. I made a round chocolate cake, covered it in dark chocolate buttercream, then stood Hershey's bars upright around the edge like skyscrapers. I piped little yellow windows on them and added a tiny chocolate Statue of Liberty on top. He said “that’s the coolest cake I’ve ever seen.” That’s a win.
So here it is: Hershey's City Cake – available for delivery and collection across Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford & Bellingham.
It’s a round cake, about 7 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. You can also get a larger size or a tower – just ask. Perfect for a chocolate lover’s birthday, city themed party, anniversary, graduation, or any time you want to combine two great loves: chocolate and cities.
What’s in it?
Sponge – rich dark chocolate or milk chocolate. Hershey's flavour is milk chocolate, so I can use Hershey's cocoa powder or even melt Hershey's bars into the batter.
Filling – a layer of Hershey's chocolate ganache (melted Hershey's bars and cream). Smooth, sweet, and very American.
Frosting – chocolate buttercream or a glossy chocolate drip. Dark or milk – you choose.
The city bits – Hershey's bars standing upright around the edge like skyscrapers. I can pipe little windows on them with icing. Or I can make a chocolate skyline on top using cut‑out chocolate pieces.
The look – a chocolate city. You can add a tiny chocolate taxi, a Statue of Liberty, or a “Welcome to the City” message.
It’s the cake that says “I love you, I love chocolate, and I love the city.” All in one delicious bite.

Can I get a different city skyline?
Yes. I can do a simple skyline silhouette with piped chocolate, or a more detailed one with fondant buildings. Tell me your favourite city – New York, London, Paris, even Bromley (though that might be a small skyline).
Can I use real Hershey's bars on the cake?
Yes. I stand them upright around the edge – they’re edible, but you can also take them off and eat them separately. For a cleaner look, I can use chocolate moulded into building shapes.
Can I add a name or message?
Course. “Happy 30th”, “NYC or Bust”, “Leo” – I’ll pipe it in white or yellow on the side.
How much notice?

One thing to mention…
Real Hershey's bars can soften in a warm room – keep the cake cool. If you want a sturdier decoration, I can make chocolate buildings using moulds. Also, the American Hershey's taste is a bit different from UK chocolate – it’s sweeter and has a unique tang. I love it, but if you prefer UK chocolate, let me know.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.
