Right. These are for the big moment – but with cupcakes instead of a whole cake.
You know the idea. Everyone gets their own cupcake. They bite into it, and the inside is pink or blue. No fighting over who gets the first slice, no awkward cutting. Just a box of cupcakes, each one hiding the secret. You hand them out, everyone takes a bite at the same time, and then – cheers, tears, and a lot of sugar. It’s a gender reveal, but easier. And cuter.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make gender reveal cupcakes for my sister’s baby shower? We want each cupcake to be pink or blue inside, but the outside white. We’re in Grove Park.”
I said yeah, course. I made vanilla cupcakes, coloured the sponge pink, and covered them in white buttercream. No hints on the outside. She cried when she bit into hers. That’s a win.
So here it is: Gender Reveal Cupcakes – available for delivery and collection across Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford & Bellingham.
They come in boxes of 6, 12, or 24. Perfect for a gender reveal party, baby shower, small gathering, or any time you want to share the surprise without a big cake.
What’s in them?
The sponge – light vanilla or white chocolate (so the colour shows clearly). I add pink or blue gel colour to the batter – soft pastel, not neon. You tell me which colour, and I keep it secret from the guests.
The frosting – white buttercream on the outside. Smooth, clean, no hints. I can also add a question mark, “Boy or Girl?”, or a few pink and blue sprinkles on top – but the inside colour stays hidden until you bite.
The reveal – when you bite into the cupcake (or cut it open), the sponge colour tells you everything. Pink for girl, blue for boy. Or you can ask for a different colour – green for “surprise”, purple for twins.
The look – a plain white cupcake with a tiny question mark or a few coloured sprinkles. No one knows what’s inside until they take a bite.
They’re perfect for a crowd – no slicing, no plates, no forks. Just grab, bite, and celebrate.
Who buys these?
Gender reveal party – the main event, cupcake style.
Baby shower – if you’re revealing at the shower.
Small gathering – when a full cake is too much.
Surprise for parents – they don’t know, you don’t know, the cupcakes know.
Twins reveal – two colours? Or a mix? I can do that.
Just because – you love the suspense and love cupcakes.
Honestly? Anyone who thinks a whole cake is too much pressure – and cupcakes are just more fun.
Can I get a different inside colour?
Yes. Green for “surprise”, purple for twins, or even a mix of pink and blue for both. Just tell me.
Can I add a message on the box?
I can attach a little tag – “Boy or Girl?”, “Oh Baby!”, “The Big Reveal” – just tell me.
Can I get a different flavour sponge?
Vanilla is the classic – it shows the colour best. But I can do lemon or strawberry (pink inside already) – just ask.
How much notice?
A few days is fine. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.
Collection or delivery?
Collect from our Bromley shop or get local delivery to Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford, Bellingham – all within easy reach.
One thing to mention…
The inside colour is a secret – even I don’t know if you don’t tell me. I just add the colour you ask for. The colour is made with food gel – no weird taste. The white frosting means the surprise is total. Best eaten within 2‑3 days.
Right. That’s the Gender Reveal Cupcakes done.
For the parents who want to share the joy – one cupcake at a time. And for the friends who love a good surprise – delivered right to your door in Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford, or Bellingham.
