Right. These are for the people who love Maltesers – and also love chocolate cake.
You know those little malted milk balls covered in chocolate? The ones that dissolve on your tongue and leave a malty, honeycomb‑y taste? I’ve stuffed them into a cupcake. A rich, dark chocolate sponge, with crushed Maltesers folded into the batter and tucked into the centre. Then a swirl of creamy malt buttercream (buttercream with malt powder and a bit of chocolate), and a whole Malteser sitting on top. It’s crunchy, it’s malty, it’s chocolatey, and it’s dangerous.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make Malteser cupcakes for my husband’s birthday? He eats them by the bag. We’re in Bellingham.”
I said yeah, course. I made chocolate cupcakes, hid a few crushed Maltesers inside, topped them with malt buttercream, and stuck a whole Malteser on each one. He ate three before I left. That’s a win.
So here it is: Chocolate Malteser Cupcakes – available for delivery and collection across Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford & Bellingham.
They come in boxes of 6 or 12. Perfect for a birthday, office treat, kids party, movie night, or any time you want a cupcake that’s crunchy, malty, and impossible to resist.
What’s in them?
The sponge – rich dark chocolate. Our proper one – deep, moist, proper chocolate taste. I also fold in crushed Maltesers so you get little crunchy pockets in every bite.
The filling – a hidden pocket of malt chocolate ganache or a few extra crushed Maltesers in the centre (optional). It adds a gooey, malty surprise.
The frosting – smooth malt buttercream – vanilla buttercream with a generous spoonful of malt powder (and a little chocolate). It’s light, creamy, and tastes like the inside of a Malteser.
The topping – a whole Malteser (or a crushed Malteser sprinkle) on top, plus a drizzle of melted milk chocolate and a dusting of malt powder.
The look – a dark chocolate cupcake with a golden‑brown malt swirl and that iconic red Malteser sitting proudly on top.
They’re like a malted milkshake, but in cupcake form. And you don’t need a straw.
Who buys these?
Chocolate and malt lover’s birthday – for anyone who buys the sharing bag and hides it.
Office treat – a bit more special than your average cupcake.
Kids party cupcakes – they love the crunch and the chocolate.
Movie night cupcakes – Maltesers are the ultimate cinema snack.
Just because – you want a cupcake that’s a little bit nostalgic.
Honestly? Anyone who’s ever stolen the last Malteser from the box.
Can I get a different malt topping?
Yes. You can have crushed Maltesers sprinkled on top, or even a Maltesers Teaser (the chocolate bar) – just tell me.
Can I add a message on the box?
I can attach a little tag – “Happy Birthday”, “Malty Goodness”, “Sweet” – just tell me.
How much notice?
A few days is fine. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.
Collection or delivery?
Collect from our Bromley shop or get local delivery to Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford, Bellingham – all within easy reach.
One thing to mention…
The Maltesers on top can soften after a day – still delicious, but best eaten within 24‑48 hours for maximum crunch. The malt buttercream has a lovely malty flavour – not too sweet. Keep them in a cool place.
Right. That’s the Chocolate Malteser Cupcakes done.
For the people who believe that chocolate and malt belong together. And that a cupcake with a Malteser on top is the best kind of indulgence – delivered right to your door in Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford, or Bellingham.
