Right so you know the full Black Forest cake? The proper old school one? The one that used to be the fancy cake in every bakery window when we were growing up?
Yeah. We put all that in a cupcake.
Someone actually asked for these for a party.
They loved the big cake but wanted something easier for people to just grab and eat without plates and forks and all that faff. Said make them mini Black Forest things. So I did. And honestly? They might be even better than the big one. Perfect amount. No sharing required.
Here's what you're getting.
Chocolate sponge base. Same as the big cake. Dark. Damp. Actually tastes of chocolate not just brown coloured sadness. Baked in a cupcake case so it's all self contained. Neat.
Then we soak it. Just a little bit. Cherry juice and a tiny splash of something. Nothing boozy really just enough to keep it moist and bring out the fruit.
Then the good bit.
We core out a little hole in the middle. Not massive. Just enough. And we stuff it. With a proper cherry. Good one. Not the bright red radioactive kind. Then a little squirt of something cherry-ish. Then we plug it back up with sponge.
Then the topping.
Whipped cream on top. Lightly sweetened. Not too thick. Just enough to balance the chocolate. Then chocolate shavings everywhere. Lots of them. Then another cherry right on top so you know what you're getting.
Who's buying these?
People having parties. So much easier than slicing a big cake.
Kids. They love anything they can just grab.
Honestly? Adults too. No judgement. No sharing required.
Anyone doing a buffet or spread.
Me. When I want cake but don't want to commit to a whole slice.

One thing I should mention. The cream on top means they need to be kept cool. Not freezing cold but cool. If it's a hot day and you're travelling far maybe bring a cool bag. The cream can go soft otherwise.
Also the cherry on top might fall off in transport.
Happens sometimes. They're just sitting there. Not glued on. If you're travelling far I can put them in a little separate bag and you can add them yourself when you get there. Just ask.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.
