Right. This one’s for the mums‑to‑be expecting a little boy.
Baby showers are all about celebrating the bump, the baby, and the joy of what’s to come. And when it’s a boy, you want blue – soft blue, royal blue, or something in between. You want cute decorations – little baby feet, a tiny onesie, maybe a few stars. And you want a cake that tastes as good as it looks.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make a cake for my baby shower? I’m having a boy. I want blue, with little baby bits on it – but not too kiddy. Something pretty.”
I said yeah, course. I made a light vanilla sponge, filled it with lemon curd (fresh and zesty), covered it in pale blue buttercream, and added a few fondant baby feet and a little “Oh Boy!” on top. She cried. Her mum cried. That’s a win.
So here it is: Baby Shower Boy Special Cake – available at our Bromley bakery.
It’s a round cake, about 7 inches. Feeds 6–10 people. Perfect for a baby shower, gender reveal, sip and see, or any celebration welcoming a little prince.
What’s in it?
Sponge – vanilla, lemon, or chocolate. Your choice. Lemon is lovely – fresh and not too heavy for a daytime party.
Filling – raspberry jam, lemon curd, or chocolate ganache. You decide.
Frosting – blue buttercream. Pale blue, royal, or navy – you pick the shade. Smooth and pretty.
The boy bits – little fondant baby feet, a tiny onesie, stars, or “Oh Boy!” piped on top. I can also do a little blue teddy bear or a baby block.
The details – a few edible pearls or silver stars, and maybe a simple border.
It’s the cake that says “welcome to the world, little man” before he’s even arrived.
Who buys this?
Baby shower for a boy – the main event.
Gender reveal – if you already know it’s a boy and want to celebrate.
Sip and see – after the baby is born, a cake for visitors.
Nursery theme party – if the mum has a blue and stars theme.
Just because – you want to treat an expectant mum.

Can I get a different shade of blue?
Yes. Pastel blue, baby blue, royal blue, or even navy. Just tell me.
Can I add the baby’s name or the mum’s name?
Course. “Welcome Baby Oliver”, “Mum‑to‑Be”, “Oh Boy!” – I’ll pipe it in white or silver.
How much notice?
Few days if you can. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.

One thing to mention…
The blue colour is made with food gel – no weird taste. The fondant baby feet are edible but a bit hard – some people keep them as keepsakes. Also, if you want a gender reveal inside (blue sponge), just ask – but that’s a different cake.

Product Life After Purchase
Our fresh cream cakes have a fridge shelf life of 24 hours and should be consumed within this time. For best results, place the cake in the refrigerator within 45 minutes (maximum 2 hours) of purchase and store at a temperature between 2°C and 5°C.
Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled collection or delivery time. Refunds are also not provided for failed deliveries or cakes that remain uncollected for any reason.

The delivery drivers aim to deliver your order within the selected time slot. However, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our control, such as traffic. If this happens, we will try to contact you using the phone number you provided.
When the driver arrives, they will knock or ring the bell. If there is no response, they will attempt to call you. If still unanswered, the order will be returned to our store. In such cases, you will need to contact us to arrange redelivery (charged at our standard delivery rate) or collect your order from our store free of charge. Delivery charges are non-refundable.
If you miss your scheduled delivery day and request a refund or a replacement cake for the next day, an additional charge will apply.
For flats or apartment buildings, we kindly ask that you meet the driver at the main entrance.
On receiving your order, please check your cake carefully, especially the written message and its condition. Any damage must be reported immediately. Please take clear photos, inform the driver, and refuse the delivery if necessary. Once a delivery is accepted and the driver has left, it becomes more difficult for us to investigate. As we work with third-party couriers, minor imperfections may occur. While we strive to fulfil every order with care, we ask for your understanding of slight damages. If your cake arrives in poor condition, please take photos and return it with the driver to the store for a refund.

Delivery is available within 2 hours of placing your order. Please select a delivery slot at checkout and ensure you provide the correct contact number for our driver.
