Right. These are for the people who love mango – real, juicy, sun‑ripened mango, not that fake stuff from a bottle.
You know the feeling when you bite into a ripe mango and the juice runs down your chin? That’s the flavour I wanted in a cupcake. So I made a light, fluffy vanilla sponge, then folded in fresh mango puree and tiny chunks of real mango. Then I topped them with a silky mango buttercream and a fresh mango slice. They taste like a tropical holiday – even if it’s raining outside.
Someone asked me a while back: “can you make mango cupcakes for my daughter’s summer birthday? She’s obsessed with mangoes. We’re in Downham.”
I said yeah, course. I made a batch of vanilla cupcakes with fresh mango folded in, whipped up a mango buttercream, and put a slice of fresh mango on top. They were gone in ten minutes. That’s a win.
So here it is: Mango Cupcakes – available for delivery and collection across Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford & Bellingham.
They come in boxes of 6 or 12. Perfect for a summer birthday, tropical themed party, baby shower, afternoon tea, or any time you want to bring a bit of sunshine to the table.
What’s in them?
The sponge – light vanilla with fresh mango puree folded into the batter, plus tiny chopped mango pieces for texture. It’s naturally sweet, moist, and a beautiful pale gold colour.
The filling – a hidden pocket of mango curd or a dollop of mango jam (optional – just ask). It adds a tangy surprise in the middle.
The frosting – smooth mango buttercream made with real mango puree. It’s creamy, fruity, and not too sweet. I can also do a whipped cream topping for a lighter option.
The look – a swirl of pale orange buttercream, topped with a fresh mango slice (or a dried mango flower) and a sprinkle of toasted coconut. Very tropical, very pretty.
They’re like a mango sticky rice dessert, but in cupcake form. Fresh, fruity, and impossible to eat just one.
Who buys these?
Summer birthday cupcakes – when mangoes are at their best (May–September).
Tropical themed party – luau, Hawaiian, or just because.
Baby shower cupcakes – pale orange and pretty.
Afternoon tea – a lovely change from lemon or vanilla.
Just because – you want a cupcake that’s different from the usual.
Honestly? Anyone who’s ever eaten a mango and wished it was a cupcake.
Can I get a different tropical fruit combo?
Yes. Mango & passionfruit, mango & lime, or mango & coconut – just tell me.
Can I add a message on the box?
I can attach a little tag – “Happy Birthday”, “Tropical”, “Sweet” – just tell me.
How much notice?
A few days is fine. I need to get ripe mangoes – not the hard ones. Order online or message me – I’ll be honest.
Collection or delivery?
Collect from our Bromley shop or get local delivery to Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford, Bellingham – all within easy reach.
One thing to mention…
The fresh mango on top is best eaten the same day – it will soften overnight. The mango buttercream is made with real fruit, so it has a natural pale colour – no artificial neon. Best eaten within 2‑3 days.
Right. That’s the Mango Cupcakes done.
For the people who believe that mango is the king of fruits. And that a cupcake should taste like a tropical getaway – delivered right to your door in Bromley, Downham, Grove Park, Sydenham, Catford, or Bellingham.
