Every single time.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI didn't even know what Biscoff was a few years back.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSomeone came in and asked if we did a Biscoff cake and I said what's that then? They looked at me like I'd just landed from another planet. Turns out it's those little caramel biscuits you get on planes sometimes. The ones in the red packet. Yeah those. Apparently people are obsessed with them.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSo I had a try. Made a test one. Took it round my mate's house for Sunday dinner. Her kids devoured it before the adults even got a look in. Her husband who never comments on anything said \"that's actually really good\" which is basically a Michelin star review coming from him.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSo here's what's in it.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eVanilla sponge base. Nice and light. Nothing too heavy because the rest of it's doing quite a lot. Then we spread this thick layer of Lotus Biscoff spread. The smooth stuff. Not the crunchy. Although if you want crunchy just ask and I'll sort it.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThen more sponge. More spread. Then the whole thing gets covered in Biscoff buttercream which is just... yeah. It's as good as it sounds. Buttercream with actual Biscoff spread beaten into it so it's all caramel and spiced and moreish.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThen on top? Crushed Biscoff biscuits obviously. Lots of them.
